I had an excellent experience here. The Ghee Podi Idli was outstanding, the idlis were exceptionally soft, light, and perfectly steamed. The podi was aromatic and well-balanced, and the ghee added a rich, comforting depth without overpowering the dish. Every bite felt fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. The Iced Filter Coffee was equally impressive. It had a distinct, authentic filter coffee flavor with a smooth and well-rounded profile. What stood out most was the absence of any burnt or overly bitter aftertaste. It was refreshing, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Overall, both items reflected quality ingredients, proper technique, and authentic taste. A truly enjoyable experience.

Now that Benne Dosa is so much in trend, I decided to look...
Now that Benne Dosa is so much in trend, I decided to look for a nearby outlet and try it out, so I visited Namma Benne House, Taste the Authenticity of Bengaluru. This outlet is located in Borivali West near Croma. This is a self service setup with only outdoor seating, so the focus here is clearly on the food. I ordered Ghee Pudi Idli and Benne Plain Dosa. The Ghee Pudi Idli was served hot and fresh. The texture was very good. It was soft and moist. It was soft, moist, and evenly coated with ghee and plenty of pudi. The Benne Plain Dosa was not very crispy. It was more on the softer side. I feel it was made using a different style of batter. The fermentation was good. The dosa was cooked evenly. The ghee added richness without making it oily. It was served with sambar and two types of chutneys, both of which were well balanced and complemented the dosa well. The sambar was delicious. The menu mentions that potato palya is included with every dosa. I was not served that. This affected the overall experience. The prices are on the higher side, and for a self service outlet, I would have expected slightly better value. That said, I genuinely appreciated their effort towards sustainability. They are using eco friendly plates and spoons, and I did not notice any plastic being used, which is a thoughtful touch. If you want to try a Bengaluru style Benne Dosa, you can visit Namma Benne House in Borivali. Ratings: Quality โ 3.9/5 Quantity โ 3.9/5 Service โ 3.5/5 Price โ โน400 for 2 people
