This has been one of the most disappointing medical experiences I’ve had. We visited this cardiologist for a second opinion, bringing along an angiography CD to assess the percentage of blockage and determine whether angioplasty was necessary or if medication could suffice. Unfortunately, the doctor was unable to confidently read the CD. Initially, he said he wasn’t sure if there was any blockage at all (raising serious doubts about his expertise as a cardiologist). Then, within just 15 minutes, his diagnosis fluctuated from no blockage, to 30%, to 70%, and finally 70–80%. This inconsistency was alarming and did not inspire confidence. He began the consultation by noting blood pressure, weight, and other basic vitals. While reviewing the case history and previously prescribed medications, he recommended discontinuing *Cortel-CH* (prescribed by another doctor), claiming it could cause headaches and flush sodium from the body. However, he soon became confused, tore up the initial prescription, and scribbled a new one—this time only listing *Ecosprin Gold-40*, with no other notes or patient details. When asked why he discarded the original, he said it was “messed up,” and that he remembered the measurements, which seemed unprofessional and careless. Regarding treatment, he first stated that angioplasty wasn’t necessary, then suddenly reversed his stance and strongly recommended it—specifically at Holy Family Hospital in Bandra—while dismissing other reputable hospitals like ACE and Tunga without providing clear reasoning. Lastly, the consultation fee was ₹4,000, which is fine if the expertise justifies it. But in this case, with so much confusion and lack of clarity, it felt unjustified. I had chosen him based on reviews mentioning over 15 years of experience, but what we experienced did not reflect that. If you are looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and confident cardiologist, I would strongly recommend seeking another opinion. Very disappointed with the overall experience.
