👩🏻‍🎓Admission & Eligibility: Best suited for students with a decent percentage and rank in MHT-CET or JEE. 75% attendance is mandatory. Students involved in technical activities like projects, hackathons, etc., can get grace attendance. 👩🏻‍💻Technical & Co-curricular Activities: Plenty of extra technical activities available, Students can join TEJAS, RAW, and more to showcase their talent at national-level competitions. Every department has its own students’ association that manages events and activities at the department level. Numerous extra-curricular activities are provided, though students need to actively search and join them. 🫂Scholarships & Financial Support: Various scholarships are available for students from different categories. The college helps students with the education loan process. 🏋🏻‍♀️Sports Facilities: Sports rooms are open after 3 PM. Students can also play during free lectures or by bunking (although not encouraged). Sports include Kabaddi, Badminton, Carrom, Chess, and occasionally Cricket & Football etc. Once a year sports competitions are also organised by the sports committee. 🏭Industrial Exposure: Each department conducts Industrial Visits as part of the academic curriculum. Project competitions are organized once a year with minimal entry charges, and participants get meals from the college itself on that day. Internships are available, but students must personally reach out to industries as their interest. 🤑Placements & Career Support: Placements starts from 7th to 8th semester until all students are placed. The Training & Placement Officer (TPO) supports all deserving candidates. Placement packages depend on skills and experience, not comparable to IITs, but decent opportunities exist. To be placement-ready: Do at least two internships. Focus on aptitude and technical preparation from the third year onward. For Higher study any assistance, also avilable through college itself. 🏛️Infrastructure & Facilities: Infrastructure is average but satisfactory. Air-conditioning is available only for the library, labs, and first-year students, with plans to expand to all batches. Library is large with a wide range of books. Canteen food is good quality but expensive. There is a xerox centre on campus which is cheaper than outside stationery. 🚉Accessibility & Location: The college is at a walkable distance from Dahisar station. Students can also reach via bus from Borivali station. Autorickshaw is available from both station. Concession on First & Second class tickets till age 25. 🏕️Campus Life & Enjoyment SFIT offers a balanced environment with fun and academics, lush greenery campus. Accessible lift for all students. Games, picnics, tours, seminars, DJ nights, annual functions, traditional day and more things. Of course, also assignments, exams, and academic challenges. 📜Final Recommendation: SFIT is a good choice for ambitious students who didn’t make it to IITs or NITs.
