I have visited this restaurant/cafe 2-3 times before with my college friends and had no issues, though I am vegetarian by choice not religion and they were non-veg. Today I came with my best friend who is vegetarian by religion. We ordered and confirmed we wanted a veg dish which I recommend I loved because I had tried it before. After one bite my friend threw up because there were clearly chicken pieces in it. And because I am a vegetarian by my choice and not religion so I have had chicken before and I immediately got to know it was chicken pieces. I called the waiter immediately, very upset, and told him how careless and unprofessional this was. Instead of checking the dish in front of us, he took the whole bowl to the kitchen and came back after 15-20 minutes with actual veg makhani pasta, saying it was not chicken, it was just paneer. We could clearly spot the difference between the previous served dish(chicken slices) and newly prepared dish(paneer cubes) . If it was paneer he could have confirmed it on the spot instead of taking 20 minutes, which made it feel like he was trying to gaslight us and avoid a bad impression for the restaurant. If this would have happened to someone else they would have definitely crashed out but just because we did not want to spoil our own mood we let it go. If am ordering vegetarian, I must get a vegetarian dish, and for someone veg by religion this caused real distress and hurt her religious sentiments. I have attached photos and I never thought I would have to rate this restaurant 1 star.
