Think Multiple Times Before Booking Rajasthan Tour with Kesari (Especially Foreign Tourist Circuits) There is a big difference between what is written in the itinerary, what you understand, and what is actually shown. And if you complain about this mismatch, you are indirectly made to admit before their grievance officer that you “do not understand English.” Very disappointing approach. Day 1 & 2 – Lemon Tree Hotel Hotel, cleanliness, and staff: 10/10 Excellent stay and service. Guide: 6/10 Shared too much unnecessary information (statues, random shops, medical stores, etc.) instead of relevant insights. Day 3 & 4 – Hotel Chirag Hotel & food: 4/10 Very poor room condition and food quality. Guide: 10/10 Extremely knowledgeable, organized, and informative. Day 5 – Travel & Lunch at Pokhran Lunch arrangement was disappointing. Other tour companies were given an AC hall, while Kesari guests were served in general space with very ordinary food. Rating: 3/10 Desert Stay – Om Tent (Worst Experience) This was one of the worst nights of my life. A nail under the carpet pierced my foot. Electric socket was burning. Complaints to tent owner were ignored. Food was cold and tasteless. Rating: –10/10 Camel Safari Owner was only focused on extracting more money. After just 50 meters of ride, he demanded extra payment for a 1 km desert ride. No proper concern for safety. Ride completely at your own risk. Rating: 4/10 Jaisalmer – Hotel Orchid Extremely disrespectful behavior. Four senior citizens were forcefully made to leave their dining table without any reservation conflict. No manager or senior staff available. Staff appeared more interested in getting tips from foreign tourists. Rooms for foreign guests seemed well maintained; others were not. Rating: 0/10 Tour Manager On the 8th day, the tour manager suddenly realized that 75% of tourists were senior citizens and required care. That awareness should have been there from Day 1. Later Part of Tour From Day 10 onward, travel arrangements improved. We were finally given a comfortable bus. Hotel Vega (Jodhpur) – Good Howard Johnson (Udaipur) – Good Additional Concerns Guides and tour manager consistently promoted “authenticated” shops where prices were 3–5 times higher than normal market rates. Most hotels were booked far from tourist spots, markets, and airports. Clear difference in treatment between foreign tourists and others. Final Suggestion If you truly want to explore Rajasthan, visit independently without a tour agency. Local people are polite and helpful. Food is good. You can explore peacefully without overpricing or pressure tactics.
