Misleading Photos, Hygiene Issues, and Unfair Refund Practices I booked a room with GetSetHome at Premier Exotica 1, Kurla West after looking at the polished photos on their website. But when I actually moved in, the reality was completely different — the property had serious hygiene issues, including cockroaches in the kitchen and washroom, and a general lack of cleanliness. Despite repeated complaints, the caretaker was unresponsive and nothing improved. What shocked me more was that my roommate was paying a different rent for the exact same room type — completely unprofessional and unfair. When I vacated the property early (within the conditions mentioned in their contract), I expected a refund after the standard deductions. Instead, they falsely claimed I had a balance due and completely denied any refund — even though I had followed all terms. To make it worse, they refused to share the rental agreement when I asked for documentation, raising serious trust issues. This platform is misleading, non-transparent, and unaccountable. I strongly advise others to not book just by looking at pictures — visit the place first if you must, but I personally would not recommend GetSetHome at all. **Update (After One Year):** To make matters worse, this issue did not end when I vacated the property. Before leaving, I had informed them about my move-out and called multiple times, but received no response from their side. Nearly a year later, GetSetHome withheld my deposit, claimed additional rent dues, imposed penalties, and even sent me a legal notice. They also contacted my workplace regarding the matter, which I found completely unnecessary and highly unprofessional. In the end, I lost more than ₹30,000 through withheld deposits, rent claims, and various charges for what was essentially an 8-10 day period. What should have been a straightforward move-out process turned into a long, stressful, and frustrating ordeal. Another issue I repeatedly noticed was the lack of transparency around maintenance and service charges. In my experience, even for relatively minor repairs or services, the amounts charged often seemed excessively high, and supporting bills or invoices were not always provided when requested. This made it difficult to understand or verify the actual cost of the work being done. After dealing with misleading property photos, hygiene issues, poor support, refund disputes, withheld deposits, unexplained charges, and legal threats, I can confidently say that my experience with GetSetHome has been one of the worst rental experiences I have had. I would strongly advise anyone looking for accommodation to stay away from GetSetHome and consider more transparent and tenant-friendly alternatives.
