Had a takeaway order for dinner from Goaikarโs Goan Cuisine, Borivali West - Hot Garlic Chicken & Chicken Black Pepper Rice. Both dishes tasted good and the quantity was worth the price. Takeaway packaging was neat and properly done. The staff were friendly and attentive. They have a good seating area if you want to dine in. Parking is possible for 2-wheelers, but cars might be difficult depending on the time since itโs street parking. Overall I was happy with the food quality and will try more from here in future

Looked good. Good quantity. Clean but not tasty. As a goan I know my cuisine and this isn't goan at all. Curry had no taste. Fish fry was ok.

I recently visited Goankar Cuisine in Mumbai, and overall it turned out to be a mixed but interesting dining experience. When we first arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, but as we started ordering, the place quickly became busy and was soon filled with many guests. We began with crab Manchow soup, but honestly it tasted more like a regular Manchow soup as the crab quantity was very minimal and there wasnโt much seafood flavour in it. After that, we tried prawns lollipop, which unfortunately was not good. The texture felt sticky and unusual, and it was difficult to even recognize the prawns properly, so we didnโt enjoy that dish. However, the experience improved with the next dishes. The squid Koliwada was excellent โ very crunchy and perfectly cooked. It was definitely one of the better starters we tried. The staff member Mr. Akash, who was serving us, was very helpful and gave good suggestions. On his recommendation, we tried chicken Kalakari, which turned out to be really tasty. It had a rich, authentic Indian-style chicken masala and was well marinated with great flavour. For the main course, he first suggested chicken vindaloo, but since it is slightly tangy, we decided not to order it. Instead, he recommended chicken Xacuti (Shakoti), which was excellent and full of authentic Goan flavours. Along with that, we tried prawns masala dry, which was honestly amazing and one of the highlights of the meal. We paired the dishes with Amboli, Ghavna, and rice bhakri. The rice bhakri was very large and quite filling, making it a great accompaniment to the curries. For dessert, we tried Ukdiche Modak ice cream, which was truly a game changer. It was such a unique dessert that we ended up ordering another one because everyone at the table loved it. It was a really creative and delicious twist on the traditional modak. Overall, despite a few disappointing starters, the main course, dessert, and the helpful service by Mr. Akash made the experience really enjoyable. If you visit, definitely try the squid Koliwada, prawns masala dry, chicken Xacuti, and the Ukdiche Modak ice cream.

Food was ok not upto the mark as they claim Goan cuisine. Their prawns fry was a 100% super delicious but the fish curries were not that good! The staffs are good, polite and helpful. It's a small restaurant not apt to take your pet as pets do not have place to move around there.

Really enjoyed the food! had been craving Goan food for a while. The place is small but serves good, homely food. We tried the- Bombil fingers- which were nicely done and crispy. Chicken xacuti- This was my favourite, rich coconut gravy that paired perfectly with amboli. Chicken cafreal- had a nice, sweet flavourful green gravy For breads, we tried Amboli, Butter chapati, and Poi. Solkadi- was slightly lacking in flavour but still decent. Overall, a good experience
