This is the worst hospital, where unnecessary checkups are performed in the name of treatment and people are fleeced in the name of bed charges. Doctors also charge arbitrary fees, some 1,000 rupees, others 1,500 rupees. Are there any rules?

Had surgery here. The surgery itself and services were smooth. It was supposed to be a process for a few hours. But the billing process was harrowing and wasted more than 2 hours just for billing. It didn't make sense that the time it took for billing was more than what it took for the surgery. The people at the billing counter have no professionalism. There was serious coordination issue between the doctor and the billing team. The lady at the billing reception showed zero empathy towards patient and family. And when pressed, they shared hand written bills like we get in kirana stores. Only after a lot of argument they were ready to give itemized bills for the entire amount. This seems to be a regular occurance as per fellow patients. They seriously need to smoothen their processes and give training to billing/reception staff on how to talk to patients/family. Till they fix these issues, it's better you avoid getting elective surgeries here.
