Langos is a typical Hungarian food. Nowadays it is a deep fried flatbread, but in the past it was made of the last bits of the bread-dough and baked at the front of a brick or clay oven, to be served hot as the breakfast of the bread-baking day. Up to the mid 20th century, bread was baked once a week due to the cost of heating up the large oven and the lengthy proces. Because the bread loaf, typical to Hungary, was 6 to 10 pounds each, traditionally they used to bake smaller (1-2 pounds) "cipó" rolls for the evening and the next day. Love in Langos honestly completely surprised me. We tried the kürtős (chimney cake), and wow… we went for the pesto with veggie filling, and it was absolutely delicious. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and the flavors were just spot on. It instantly reminded me of the Hungarian food I had back in Budapest, which I wasn’t expecting to find here at all. Also, the menu was a bit confusing at first (at least for us 😅), but the owner was such a warm and helpful person. He took the time to explain everything and helped us figure out what to order, which made the whole experience even better. It’s one of those hidden gems you don’t really hear about, but once you try it, you’ll definitely want to go back. Everyone should give this place a shot—especially if you’re looking to try something different!

Each dish was full of flavour, beautifully balanced, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a place that does such honest justice to its cuisine, and this one absolutely does. A special mention to Piyush, who made the experience even more memorable. He was incredibly warm, patient, and genuinely passionate. He took the time to explain every dish so beautifully, helping us understand what we were eating and what made it special. That personal touch made all the difference. Every bite was comforting, satisfying, and delicious — the kind of food that stays with you even after you’ve left. What started as an unplanned visit turned into a really special experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to step into my birthday. I’m obsessed with their desserts and coffee, and the mushroom soup and potato leek soup are my forever favourites. Honestly, it’s our happy place. You have to try it!

The dish I ordered was exceptionally good — it honestly tasted just like home. One small tip for international visitors: make sure to carry some cash. It seems that foreign credit and debit cards are not always accepted, so having cash on hand can save you some trouble.
